Custom aluminum rack panels
CNC-machined 6061 connector panels for touring racks, with a reusable connector cutout library.
Why
Off-the-shelf punched panels never have the right connector mix. Every rack ended up with a blank plate, a hole saw, and a bad afternoon.
What it is
A Fusion 360 parametric panel with a library of connector cutouts — powerCON, etherCON, XLR, SpeakON, BNC, D-sub — that drop onto a panel and generate toolpaths automatically. Panels are cut on a desktop router with a fixture that holds a 19” blank on the first pass.
Notes
- Cutout library carries the correct clearance for each connector family, so panels fit first time.
- Engraved labels are part of the same CAM job; no label maker.
