PoE sACN receiver

Network-powered sACN/E1.31 receiver driving LED tape and fixtures from a single Ethernet run.

Why

Small architectural and scenic LED runs usually mean a wall-wart, a Wi-Fi node, and a prayer. Running power and data over one Ethernet cable removes two of the three.

What it is

A four-output receiver on a single PCB with an isolated PoE PD front end and an ESP32 handling sACN. Firmware exposes a plain HTTP config page and a /status JSON endpoint so a lighting console or Home Assistant can watch it.

Notes

  • Buck stage sized for the full PoE budget so a fully lit 24 V run doesn’t brown out.
  • Universe/channel mapping is stored in flash and survives power loss.
  • Enclosure uses the same panel-cutout system as the rack panels.
